PowerReviews can import any existing Questions & Answers you may have collected via another online provider. This ensures you do not lose any legacy data once you fully migrate to our solution.

Requirements
You must compile your Q&A from your previous provider into a CSV file using UTF-8 encoding. This file must also include all PowerReviews required fields (below).
PowerReviews can offer guidance on how to populate any required fields that may be missing from your previous provider. We also recommend contacting your previous provider for instructions on how to export your existing Q&A from their solution as soon as possible, if you're not sure how to do this.
Required Fields
You must provide the following fields in your file for PowerReviews to be able to import your data.

Question ID | Whole number | The unique ID for the question. Note: If there are multiple answers for one question, duplicate the Question values in your CSV file. |
Question Submission Date | Date | The date the user wrote the question in MM/DD/YYYY or HH:mm:ss format. |
Question Status | Valid Status | The moderation status of either Approved, Pending, or Rejected |
Question Summary | String | The question the user asked |
Question Details | String | Any additional details about the question the user asked (optional) |

The locale for your website |
Product ID | String | The unique ID for the product |
Product Name | String | The name of the product the question was asked about |
Product Brand | String | The name of the brand of the product |
Asker Nickname | String | The name of the user that asked the question |
Asker Location | String | The location of the user that asked the question |
Asker Email Address | String | The email address of the user that asked the question |
Answer ID | Whole Number | The unique ID for the answer to the question |

Based on your previous provider, you may have additional data or fields beyond these, or data that is stored in a different format. Contact your Implementation Team or Account Team to discuss any data you don't see listed above.
Sample File & Import Process
1. Prepare your file to send to PowerReviews, noting the requirements above.

2. Send your file to PowerReviews.
- If you are currently implementing, provide your file to your Implementation Team. Your Technical Implementation Consultant will validate and import the file to your Test and Production accounts.
- If you are an existing client, contact PowerReviews Technical Support to have us upload your file to your Production account.
