PowerReviews SMS Collection opens communication channels by allowing customers to submit a review via a link sent by SMS text message. This triples engagement and native collection by reaching end users via mobile messaging, the most popular way consumers communicate in the United States.
How Does SMS Collection Work?
As illustrated above, PowerReviews uses customer phone numbers collected during the checkout process to send review solicitation requests via SMS. The customer must opt-in to being contacted via SMS once at the point of checkout, and again when they receive their first SMS text from PowerReviews. They may then write their review from the link provided in the SMS text.
Requirements
- SMS Collection is available for clients in the US only
- You must be on Display 4 to utilize SMS Collection
- You must be currently using (or be willing to use) PowerReviews as your ESP, to prevent double solicitation of reviews from both email and SMS
- We only support PowerReviews SMS at this time
Opt-Out
The ability for the customer to opt-out of being solicited for reviews is available with all message types. If a user opts out of SMS messages, they will still receive the PowerReviews Follow-Up Email for review solicitation.
Note: If a checkbox to confirm agreement for PowerReviews to send text messages is not added to the checkout flow, you must add an opt-in message to the existing Terms and Conditions agreement checkbox on the Write-a-Review form.
